Compensation Services

For 24 years, I have partnered with executives and Board members to review, develop and implement their compensation plans.  I spent 14 years learning everything about compensation at THE premier global HR consulting firm – Willis Towers Watson – in their world renowned compensation practice. Before I took the job, a professor told me Towers was a place you go to get trained well.  I stayed and launched my career.

I have had the opportunity to work with clients in a variety of industries - from Fortune 50 to pre-IPO’s – at all stages of growth. These partnerships include:

  1. Compensation philosophy development (what approach are you using to pay people and why)
  2. Market analyses
  3. Base salary structure development and administration
  4. Annual and long-term incentive (i.e., stock options, restricted stock, etc.) design
  5. Job evaluation
  6. Career path development
  7. Performance management
  8. Board of Director Pay
  9. Severance plans
  10. CEO/Board Performance Evaluations
  11. Workday implementations (the compensation advisor who understands workday and what needs to be done to implement the compensation modules)

And I have had the opportunity to work with awesome companies:

Delhaize Group (Food Lion), Ascena Retail Group (Ann Taylor), Aramark Uniform Services, AOL/Time Warner, Phillip Morris, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, New York Media, LLC, TIAA-CREF, Capital One, CoBank, AES, The American Red Cross, The Boy Scouts, PPG Industries, Prudential, The Revenue Optimization Companies, The Smithsonian, The Natural Museum of History in NY, and Weyerhauser plus many others.

In addition to these companies, I consult with various small and mid-cap firms and not-for profit organizations and LOTS of healthcare/hospitals and health systems.

MY APPROACH

I believe compensation needs to be practical and support your business growth plans. It also needs to be easily administered. To begin, I would learn more about your pain points, what's working and what's not. We would begin with making sure everyone is on the same page, build consensus and then review and develop a program you can run.
