I graduated college and entered the world of HR consulting. And I had NO IDEA what I was getting myself into - I was just happy to have a job. After a few years, I got my MBA. I took EVERY CAREER ASSESSMENT AVAILABLE. EVERY ONE.
You can imagine my disappointment when I learned I was already on the right path - HR Consulting.
Along the way, I learned really important things about myself. I liked working in a team-based environment, on projects, with multiple clients because I liked continually meeting - and learning from - different people. Because of the nature of my consulting (compensation), I also specialized in performance management and career development. I even developed my own firm's interviewing and onboarding program for our line of business. I recognized something important: I had a passion for helping and mentoring others.
The good news is that this passion can manifest itself in lots of ways. I transitioned this passion into career counseling. Because I've worked in just about every industry imaginable (and at companies in all stages of growth), I can provide special insights when helping people. Finding a job isn't just about the role. It's about finding the right company - the right cultural fit. That's what makes my background so unique. I am the window into lots of companies and can help you decide if a particular company is the right place for you to be.
Because - you can love the job but if you hate the company, you will NOT be happy in the long run.

This package is designed to help you determine the best career options when you aren’t sure what your next career steps look like. Integrated career assessments in skills, interests, values and personal branding. Includes 6 hours of career coaching (via telephone or skype) and 4 hours of analysis prior to the career consultation sessions.

What I have learned, is that people right resumes based on what they think they do and companies right job descriptions based on what they think they need. My job is to help the two things match up.
Besides making a resume faux pas, people don't know HOW to write a resume. What is the right way to describe your role so it makes sense to the company? Which milestones make sense to select? How should a milestone be described? Of course, there are the litany of questions that need to be answered as well - What is your brand? How does your brand come across? How do we get the reader to glance down the entire page? How do we make sure you don't seem over/under qualified? How do we address sensitive career issues (being laid off, lateral promotions, demotions, etc.) or what if you want to change careers - what should the resume say in that situation?

Sometimes people get stuck..and they aren't sure how to get un-stuck. Want to get promotion but don't know how? Well, that takes some self-awareness and self-assessment. But with a little effort, you can identify your strengths, minimize your "weaknesses" and get to the next rung on the ladder.
